I was beginning to think Rachel Zoe had gone on a serious hiatus based on the ensembles we saw at People's Choice.
It seems the PCA's were just a warm-up for Award's Season fashion. Last night, NBC held the 2012 Golden Globes. It was a great year for movies, television and red carpet fashion. Let's see my picks for best dressed:
Emma Stone dazzles in Lanvin Plum. As I mentioned in my last post, in my opinion, Emma is the rising fashionisa to watch. Last night, she did not disappoint.
For a little twist on the the tired Best Dressed, how about Best Dressed couple? Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. Jenna was gorgeous in emerald Maria Lucia Hohan’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection but, her best accessory? That fine man on her arm. Damn!
My overall Best Dressed of the night goes to Salma Hayak in Gucci. I am obsessed with this gown, the gold and black metal plating and sequin pleated skirt are to-die on those curves! She looks so well put together with the perfect hair (ombre of course!) and just the right amount of bling.
A close second, Claire Danes in a classic J. Mendel Black and White gown.
And now, the worst.
Michelle Williams. I can't even take that look seriously. You just played a blonde bombshell in 'My Week with Marilyn' and this, this is how you accept a Golden Globe? Her blue velvet Jason Wu gown aged her about twenty years so maybe that's why she decided to throw in the headband of a two-year-old. Either way, it wasn't working for her or me.
A close second, Piper Parabo in the nude mess of an outfit.
Until next time...
