I have always wanted to be a Master of something. You know that phrase, "Jack of all trades, Master of none." I feel a bit like that. I've gotten through most of life feeling that it's better to be a well-rounded individual in many areas, than a master in one. Well, that's changed.
I love my craft. I spend my days with the greatest, most creative groups of people and we make great work. Every single day I want to be better, to learn more, to work harder-- just to be a master of Advertising.
The time has come, to put a little traditional learning behind that effort. I have decided to return to school, and pursue my Masters.
I really hope that "old dog, new tricks" thing isn't true. Rewind to my eighteen-year-old self begging my mother to let me skip college...fast forward a bit more to me graduating in two and a half years just to get through college as fast as possible--two years ago I left college and never wanted to look back. Now, I find myself hungry for education, learning and growth.
So, I have changed. Things have changed. My career has changed. Life-- has changed.
I, the college going kicking and screaming, registered for my first Masters class at John Carroll University last night.
Here goes nothing...
and here's to changing. Cheers!
