This weekend, if you weren't at Kenzler Field, you missed one of the greatest showdowns in CLE history. This was monumental. As in, Heat losing to the Thunder monumental. Browns taking the Steelers monumental. Indians sweeping the Yankees monumental.
You get the point...
On Saturday, a few of the city's best Blondes and Brunettes battled it out on the
soccer football field to finally prove once and for all, which is better.
It proved nothing. Unfortunately-- the Blondes won. And clearly, we all know, Brunettes are way better than Blondes any day.
Okay. Okay. I might be a sore loser but, one thing both the Blondes and Brunettes can agree on is the reason we took the field in the first place. To tackle Alzheimer's!
And tackle we did! By the last count, we had raised over $36,000 for Alzheimer's. In the very first year in CLE, our city blew it out of the water with fundraising! You should be proud Cleveland, very proud.
The experience of BvB CLE was one that I will never forget. We all had too much fun, met a lot of great people, played some serious football and all for a great cause.
But, it's not over. Alzheimer’s is still the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States today. To help end this epidemic, I’m participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, an event that raises funds and awareness to fight this devastating disease.
Thank you all in advance for continuing to support my, and all of this beautiful city's, fight against Alzheimer's!
