I do. Don't you?
I have to follow up that depressing blog post with one that's a little more 'light-hearted' if you will.
I have the best friends.
I know, you probably think you do. But, you don't. Because mine take the cake.
From the beginning of these friendships, we've been inseparable, and to this day, it's true. We've survived moves, school, jobs, breakups, family drama, bad hair colors, bad outfit choices....the list goes on.
Because my friends have been so good to me as of late, and because I know you're still thinking you have the best friends-- you don't, I'd like to take a second to introduce you to my crew.
Morgan. If you read my Chitown post, you got a little insight into my girl Morgan. I don't think I've ever met anyone more of my opposite, but also more of my match. Some of my favorite stories, rather almost all of my favorite stories, involve some harebrained scheme from Morgan. I wouldn't take any of them back for a second. She pushes my limits, makes me do things that are uncomfortable but- end up being super fun. No matter what we go through, I know she always has my back, and I will always have hers. Through boyfriends, bunnies, nipple piercings, six foot bongs, you get the point...
Kara. Although Kara has been my friend the shortest out of the list, I can't tell you how valuable she is to me. She is the most level-headed out of all of my friends. The nicest girl I have ever met, she will love you unconditionally through it all. Even when you make fun of her love for The Fish radio and church constantly. I am so grateful we met, and also very grateful that I have someone to pray for me in church because Lord knows I need it!
Tyler. Tyler is my other half. I sincerely think that one day we are going to end up together in a house and live a fake married-life, with our own side relationships and oh, and an entire collection of Louis Vuitton's. Sometimes I hate him, most of the time I like him, but I always, always, always love him. He is the male version of me. We love to laugh, be sarcastic and mean, watch reality TV, drink wine and more importantly we love to love each other. Forever and always baby.
Nicole. Nicole is my soul mate. She knows just about every single thing I am thinking and feeling. I can answer the phone and she will immediately know my mood. Sometimes, she knows my mood before I do. She knows what makes me happy and sad, what I love and hate and the best part of all of that is that she could feel totally opposite about all of those things, and care less! We could have nothing in common and we would still be best friends. Through everything we've always found our way back to the amazing friendship that we have. I know she would do anything for me, and I would for her in a heartbeat. I can't wait to spend this next year with her enjoying our lives and drinking lots, and lots of wine.
The point of this post is that my friends come in all different forms but, they are collectively, always there to keep me together when I'm falling apart. Which is invaluable. I would be nothing without them, and I will eternally owe them for everything they are to me.
I love you all.
