The Grammys are my all-time favorite for awards show fashion! Why? People be cray!
Celebs hear "Grammy" and think let me show my ass, boobs, tummy, legs, etc all while doing something totally ridiculous with my weave. Frankly, I can't get enough of it.
This year, I was completely underwhelmed by the amount of ridic fashion moments. I blame the CBS Memo.
But, these are musicians and you know they like to break the mold so, lucky for us--we still have a few Worst Dressed at the 2013 Grammys.
Faith Hill in J. Mendel.
I actually really loved this look until they panned down to her legs. I needed this dress to be floor length. The hemline makes it way too old and let's face it, when you're standing next to Tim in his atrocious leather, but somehow OK, cowboy hat that no one notices because he is so-damn-dead-sexy, matronly is the last thing you want to be.
PSA: Her teeth looked funky because she's wearing braces. Weird. But, you're welcome.
Nicole Kidman in Vera Wang.I resort to my last comment re: Faith Hill. Come on! You are married to Keith Urban. Every woman in the World thinks he is a God-send and you're next to him looking like his Grandmother! No, no, no.
Florence Welch in Givenchy.
We get it. You're "Jenny from the Block". That doesn't mean you need to dress like the hooker on the block! Or maybe you feel like you need to keep it sexy for your younger man. I get it. But, sexy doesn't mean skanky.
Trust me, I learned that in college.
Estelle in self-designed dress.
"Self-Designed-Dress." Any questions?
Kimbra Johnson in Jaime Lee Major.
Esperanza Spaulding in Eden Diodati.
Esperanza's voice is to-die. In my opinion, she needs to perform at every single Grammys. I'd like to institute a new mandate. However, this is not the occasion to bust-out your lioness costume. Another time, another place Esperanza.
I know, all of these frocks are pretty hopeless but, as always we must have a Worst Dressed at the 2013 Grammys. This year, the title goes to Janelle Monae.
Janelle, the Latin Grammys were held in November. I think you may have been a tid-bit confused girlfriend. If not, fire your stylist immediately, or hire for that matter, and get real. I'm embarrassed for you.
Among a few of my other Worst Dressed offenders: Pauley Perrette, Chrissy Teigen, Kat Dennings and Alexa Chung.
Never fear however, because there are always many, many, many Best Dressed ladies to renew our faith in Fashion.
Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia.
I almost didn't include Ri-Ri as I was too busy vommiting at the picture of her on Breezy "I beat women" Brown's lap but, this ensemble is just that good. The hair is on-point. The jewels and shoes are perfection. She finally got it right from head-to-toe.
Carrie Underwood in Roberto Cavalli.I can honestly say, I felt bad for all the other women in this audience because Carrie Underwood is shutting-it-down. She is too beautiful in this gown. It fits her like a glove! You know you are a force to be reckoned with when people are too busy commenting on how gorgeous you are to realize you have over 31 million dollars of jewels from Johnathon Arndt adorning you. I die for this and her.
Karen Fairchild in D&G.
If you know me, you know I die for leopard. So, when I saw this beaut coming down the carpet-- I may have shed a few tears. The leopard, ah-mazing earrings and rockin' ombre were the perfect combo for a night like the Grammys. I love it!
Miranda Lambert in Roberto Cavalli.
Say what you want but, I love this woman's curves! I think she rocked this gown, and it was the perfect amount of revealing for her. The low cut top shows off her gorgeous waist and the sheer bottom allows those rockin' legs to shine! I love it all.
It was a tough competition but, this year, my Best Dressed of the 2013 Grammys is Natasha Bedingfield in Emerson by Jackie Fraser-Swans.
This color is to-die, the fit and cut of the dress are perfection and the metal belt accent literally sends me into a tailspin. I die for this look. She couldn't have changed one thing, the entire ensemble is perfection.
Among a few of my other Best Dressed superstars: Taylor Swift, Allison Williams, Carlie Rae, and Kelly Rowland.
I should note, that there are certain celebs that I felt may have been a minor "miss" (Ahem: Bey, Adele) but, you don't take God's name in vain do you? Exactly.
So, who were your Best and Worst of the 2013 Grammys?
