I went to Put in Bay. This is epic. Huge. Monumental.
I love a good time but, I am much more comfortable "beach" drinking at an actual beach, or pool--preferably a country club, than at what seems to be two pools total, packed full of people, drunk people, with limited clothing on--peeing in the pool!
OK. So I don't know they are peeing, but I know they are peeing.
But, as many of you may know- I am in a year of "Yes!" I am saying "Yes!" to things I normally wouldn't do, in order to enjoy time with friends and family and remember what's important--making memories.
So, I went to Put in Bay. And let me tell you, I will definitely be going back! I had a great time. Yes, it is a crazy party but, your in the sun with friends and music and drinks and for a few minutes you forget that you're only on Lake Erie and not in Mexico. Okay, maybe not that far but, definitely Florida!
The day began with my girlfriend picking me up, still a bit drunk from the night before, none-the-less ready to party. We ended up pulling off in a sketchy part of East CLE to buy beer and try and nurse her hangover with some hair of the dog. A six pack of Corona, and a drive later--we were ready to hit the pools! We spent most of the day in the water, drinking and chatting it up--dancing all the way--of course.
I saw friends I knew from high school, from college, from life now. It couldn't have been a more fun day! At night, we hit up the dueling piano bar and danced under the gorgeous stars, and perfect weather conditions, until we couldn't dance anymore.
A few hours of waiting for the ferry later, and we were sound asleep in the worst hotel room ever but, after drinking 10 A.M.-1 A.M. --it could have been a trash can.
Overall, I would recommend Put in Bay to anyone, here in CLE. If you can survive Browns tailgating, you can certainly hang at Put in Bay.
Next up in the year of "Yes!"...Camping. Wish me luck!
