Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love dressing up, I love eating candy, and I love things that go bump in the night!
It's beautiful Fall weather (most of the time--thank you Cleveland) and dress up. It's a reason to party. It's tradition (apple bobbing, trick-or-treat, monster mash).
This Saturday is my annual Halloween party. Every year friends get dressed to impress in the best costumes, dance to Thriller and play beer pong in my garage like we are back in college.
Speaking of college, the only thing better than my annual Halloween party, was Halloween as a Kent State student. A town that appreciates this holiday just as much as I do--and celebrates with one hell of a party.
But, then we got old. It started getting just a little creepy to go back to Kent bars and dress up and really, my girls and I couldn't compete with the college girl "Victoria's Secret Angel" costume which is really just ass shorts and a see-through bra, anyway.
This party has been going on (minus the short college hiatus) since I can remember. My mom always let me throw the best Halloween parties. All of my classmates would come over and we would play awesome Halloween games, and trick-or-treat together in my neighborhood.
Keeping the tradition alive, I host various Halloween events each year. Pumpkin painting parties, Pumpkin cook-offs, and of course- the Annual Halloween Party. There is candy corn at my desk the entire month, I religiously watch the 13 Nights of Halloween on Fox and I dress in costume at least twice. And you're kidding yourself if you think my dogs don't too!
My dream is to someday have an entire Haunted House for the party and for the little trick-or-treaters. (See: Modern Family Halloween Episode 2012) At the rate I'm hording Halloween decor every year- I am almost there.
Rooms, Morgan and I at the Annual Halloween Party. Yes, I clearly needed a bra.
