Call Me Kate
I contemplated writing this post for the past few weeks. Oscars fashion.
It shouldn't seem too difficult right? It was a gorgeous array of gowns and tuxedos on some of the most talented actors and actresses in the World.
There I sat, eagerly awaiting the red carpet to begin, looking at Guiliana's huge head with my thumbs ready to tweet, tweet, tweet. The celebrities rolled in two by two, from Olivia Wilde plus bump, and J. Law plus epic trip. I was in heaven.
And then...
Can we just talk about Kate Hudson for one minute? Is there anyone more gorgeous, more funny, more personable, more hippy-bohemian chic than Kate Hudson?
I've always said, if I could come back to this World as any celebrity it would be 1. Kate and 2. Nicole Richie. (I know, blondes. The grass is always greener right?) And this, sealed the deal.
I love her for so many reasons, but I also love her for giving me this red carpet fashion moment to remember. This was a Hilary Swank "Million Dollar Baby" Guy Laroche plunging navy dress- moment. A Sandra Bullock tell your shitty husband to shove that statue you just won up his ass in a gorgeous Marchesa gown-moment. A moment a fashion and celebrity obsessed me, will always remember and someday, if I ever get married, will eagerly tell the cameras on "Say Yes to the Dress" (obvi) that I will settle for nothing less than a "Kate Hudson white caped Versace red carpet moment".
So thank you Kate Hudson for being my forever celebrity girl crush, and for slaying this red carpet looking angelic and art-deco in Versace.
And to all the other basic bitches...try to keep up.
