Let's talk tan. Ladies, if you are still spending money tanning in a booth- two words: leather bag. Everyone knows it's all about the spray. You keep a moisturized glow, and your skin won't suffer for it down the road. For me, a spray once in awhile and a tinted lotion daily keep the pale away all season long, and I love it!
Lately, airbrush has been all the range. I too, am a huge fan of standing naked in front of a woman while she sprays me and probably comments on my spare tire, and definitely my boobs that I promise, were much higher at twenty one. NOT. But, I deal with the spray of shame because I've always been afraid of the booth spray.
Over the last few months, I've had two experiences with not any booth spray- but VersaSpa. It's a completely customized spray tan in a booth, for you. It's fab! So much has changed since the beginning of booth sprays. You can select a custom color, and choose gradual (clear) or immediate (bronze). Jamaican Me Tan in The Heights even added a free moisturizer spray to extend my tan--all while in the booth for less than five minutes! The Versa Spa sprays you in four different positions, and dries you completely. It even cleans itself after your spray, it's pretty amazing.
But enough about that, how does it tan? My first tan I went in and got a three. My body looked GREAT (Duh!) but my feet were pretty orange on the bottoms. I was super dark. The second tan, I went with a two and made sure to stand on a towel--no orange feet here! This tan, is to-die! I really knocked it out of the park with barrier cream, if I do say so myself. It looks natural, it isn't too dark for me (I like to be slightly bronzed only) and my feet and hands are perfect!
Barrier cream is your best friend. Put it all over your feet and hands for a natural looking tan. Tan will adhere most to dry surfaces so, to get an even tan you want to moisturize, moisturize and moisturize with that cream before stepping into the booth.
Overall, I am a changed woman. The Versa Spa is a great value at $25 and saves you the naked-in-front-of-strangers thing. It's quicker, and it is a great tan that lasts for about 1-2 weeks and even more with the right product. Again, I am a huge fan of using the tinted lotion to keep it up.
So, now you obviously want to try the VersaSpa and lucky for you-- it's giveaway time!
I have one free spray tan to give away courtesy of VersaSpa. To enter, simply tweet "I want to be bronzed thanks to @VersaSpa spray tan and @Kelly_Gentile" and I’ll choose a random winner on 6/16. Open to U.S. residents only.
