My sister had an amazing Bachelorette Bash in South Beach. On my birthday.
It was epic.
We stayed at the Surfcomber. A Kimpton hotel, it was adorably art deco and amazingly affordable for it's beachfront locale. I highly recommend.
Every day we lounged at the beach and pool with drinks, in our custom cups of course. Every night we ate like Queens at the most delicious restaurants in South Beach.
First- and favorite- Pubbelly Sushi. This meal was our first night in Miami, and my birthday. Holy amazing.
Between the BBQ Salt Edamame, Shishito Peppers, Navarrvo Salmon Roll and delicious Saison— I was in absolute heaven. The bread pudding dessert, with a candle just for me, was life-changing. Seriously, you have to go here if you're ever in the area. It's also an amazing showcase of anime-inspired Japanese art from local Miami artist Erni Vales— as bright and playful as the menu. So fun!
Lario's on the Beach is one of the only authentic Cuban restaurants left in Miami Beach. I know, so depressing. But, it did not disappoint. I mean, it's Gloria Estefan's restaurant. I didn't expect it to. The mojito, called a "luxury mojito" should have been called "knock you on your ass, this is really three mojitos" but—when in Rome.
Yardbird. Southern comfort food. Need I say more? My sister is a huge fan of chicken and waffles so I knew when I heard these were the best in the city, we had to go. I also knew, that although I've been a veg head for the last million years, if it's the best—I'm trying it! The entire table split massive meals of biscuits, fried pickles, fried green tomato BLT apps, chicken and waffles, ribs and shrimp and grits.
Lunches were poolside, and we enjoyed a fun brunch on our last day at Tongue and Cheek. Bottomless coffee and a serious bagel BLT (hold the B & T) sammy. Yum!
At night we hung out at Blackbird Ordinary and Rec Room and a very random, very entertaining karaoke bar.
All in all, it was a seriously great time with a seriously fun group of ladies. I was so happy that everyone was able to come out and celebrate with Jamie. Now, the countdown to #JJWedding15 begins!
So, I should probably get my dress altered...
